E is for Epsom, which we nearly missed. Focusing on Luke just getting there, I hardly saw any signs, so don't laugh at this photographic evidence. We also didn't find the planned caravan park- looking for a Big 4 sign that didn't eventuate. We went on to Ascot and found one but it was quite a way from anything, so we went to the centre of Bendigo, got the last room in a motel and had a bistro dinner and a sleep in a bed. Makes one appreciate the joys of camping. Went into town for breakfast while waiting for the Grace Kelly style exhibition to open. Glad we were there today and not over Easter! It was well worth the time. Character of the day - met a lady who was a Navy telegraphist at Harman in 1948.She chatted for ages and was very engaging. We only asked where Coles was and that was enough to get her going - delightful.
