The world is flatter! Starting with my back tyre on Tuesday morning.Made for a late start after doing postcard duty for Ben. Then 45 kms west - straight & flat - at least we made good time. So it's D for Dingee ( not dinghy as in gloomy, but Dingee as in dinghy boat). Dingee was abuzz. There was a research team in town complete with a real locomotive, six vehicles and many GPSs- all testing new software destined to show on a GPS when approaching a rail crossing, the distance a train is away. Heading south the wind came up, and it was HOT. But the good part was that eventually we hit hills near the State forest - it was good fun but Luke was cramping so I waited every few kms to check on him. He was ready to call it a day at Huntly but we pressed on.
